MTMS is very proud to announce we have a received a Bronze Award in The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS).
The MOD’s Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) is a nationally recognised scheme encouraging all employers to support defence services and inspire others to do the same. The prestigious award asks organisations to pledge, demonstrate or advocate support to defence and the armed forces community, and align their values with the Armed Forces Covenant. It is designed primarily to recognise private sector support although public sector organisations such as the emergency services, local authorities and NHS trusts can be recognised.
Matt Forst – MTMS’s Operations Director said “We are proud to pledge our support to our armed forces and delighted our continued work within the transport sector is recognised with this award.”
MTMS recognises the value serving personnel, reservists, veterans and military families bring to our business. We seek to uphold the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant, by:
- Promoting the fact that we are an armed forces-friendly organisation;
- Seeking to support the employment of veterans young and old and working with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP), in order to establish a tailored employment pathway for Service Leavers;
- Seeking to support our employees who choose to be members of the Reserve forces, including by accommodating their training and deployment where possible;
- Aiming to actively participate in Armed Forces Day
